2012 June - Switzerland and Austria

June 2012 Our Summer holiday through Switzerland into the Austrian Tyrol.

This is where we said au revoir to France. Some nice little wines in this region.

A night in Switzerland

Through the frontier post into Austria

Now we have reached our destination. Sylvie seems to enjoy the sweet things we find here.

Apfelstrudel mit schlag.

A walking day, following the torrent ...

.. to visit the waterfall

A freshwater bathing pool in the mountains

A small campsite in beautiful surroundings in the Tyrol/

The only noise here is the tinkling of cowbells.

A day in Innsbruck.

Chez Mozart

The famous Golden Roof.

More sweet things for Sylvie

Jager Tee is a wonderful drink - especially in the Winter. I have good memories of this on ski trips to the Tyrol.

Fantastic waterfall in the valley where we made camp.

This is how I remember the Tyrol from my first visit when I was sixteen. It made me want to travel whenever possible to discover new and wonderful places.

The hay here is so fragrant - packed full of wild flowers. Such fortunate cows.

Germknodl for me and apfelstrudel for the girl - mit schlag of course.

A paradise for people who like walking holidays.
Overlooking Lake Constance and reflecting that our holiday is nearly over.
